No one leaves hungry at the Donner PARTY!Truckee, California: Bar of America located in historic downtown Truckee, CA, is hosting their 2nd Annual Donner PARTY! Proceeds from this spooky and entertaining event will benefit the Truckee-Donner Historical Society. The Donner PARTY will be held on October 27th, 2016 at 6pm.
The evening will feature a lavish and rather “unique” buffet, some bloody drink specials, optional Halloween Costumes, and of course - live music and dancing! The Truckee-Donner Historical Society helped Bar of America research their historical building during an extensive remodel in Nov, 2014. Bar of America will donate proceeds from the Donner PARTY to the Historical Society to thank them and to help preserve Truckee’s legacy. Tom Ballou, Bar of America’s General Manager said, “The Truckee-Donner Historical Society members brought Truckee’s rich history to life for us. They are extremely generous with their time and resources helping us understand the historic and architectural continuity of our site at Bar of America. We are happy to make this contribution. And we love throwing big fun parties!” Chan Mortier and Chelsea Waltersheid, who attended last year’s Donner PARTY exclaimed, “Bar of America goes over the top with exciting and energetic events. The food, the music, the costumes…we had a great time!” This event should be no different. Bar of America is encouraging everyone to “come hungry” because you’ve never seen a buffet like they put out! Get your sleep the night before because there will be dancing late into the night. The Donner PARTY at Bar of America is for adults (21+). It is a benefit for the Truckee Donner Historical Society and will be held on Thursday, October 27 at 6:00pm. Tickets for the event are available at Bar of America or through the Truckee Donner Historical Society in advance for a donation of $25 per person.
